COIL N STRIKE would be the perfect horse for the leading role in The Black Stallion if that movie were ever remade. A broken seismoid ended his career and for months he was very lame, but now he is pasture sound and can run like the wind with his pasture mates. This regal horse was bred in Kentucky and raced the first half of his career in southern California and the second half in New Mexico. He finished 3rd in the Harry Henson Stakes at Hollywood Park in 2001. He raced both on the dirt and on the turf and earned $248,527 in 48 starts, winning 11 times, running second 7 times and third 7 times. He is still a beautiful mover but his ankle does not allow him to be ridden.
